Major Peter Jahns, USAFA Class of 1985, was killed in an accident on March 19, 2003 in San Antonio, Texas. Major Jahns was an instructor pilot assigned to the 100th Flying Training Squadron. He was conducting continuation training in a T-38 with Lt Colonel Frank Gebert, who survived the accident. Major Jahns is survived by his wife Rhonda, and his children Alex, 5, Allison, 3, and Jenea Gibson, 21. Lt Col Anthony Zambelli, USAFA Class of 1966, died after a battle with cancer on March 2, 2003 in San Antonio, Texas. He was buried in the Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Linda Zambelli.
